We are currently seeking individuals with the following experience and background:
Senior Environmental Engineer
The position primarily involves engineering design activities associated with groundwater remediation, soil remediation, indoor air abatement, and water/wastewater treatment. Tasks will vary and may include detailed engineering design, preparation of feasibility studies, design and implementation of pilot studies, development of construction and operation and maintenance cost estimates, planning and implementation of pre-design field investigations, and management of contractor bid solicitations and construction oversight.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in environmental, mechanical, chemical or civil engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer.
- Design experience required. Experience managing large projects and teams, client interaction, and business development activities, advantageous.
- Working knowledge of computer applications.
- Some travel required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills are essential.
A minimum of three references are required for consideration.
Hydrogeologist
The position primarily involves the design, implementation, and management of contaminated groundwater investigations potentially leading to remediation for various environmental projects. Some overnight travel should be expected, with an occasional requirement to participate in one to two week remote field programs. Responsibilities may include: review and summation of technical documents from prior investigations; development of new subsurface investigation and remediation strategies; research and summation of the latest investigation and remediation methods; organization of staff teams and subcontractors to perform field investigations; management and interpretation of data; and technical writing.
Requirements:
- A Masters of Science in Geology or Hydrogeology (related science and engineering degrees will also be considered).
- A willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
- Approximately 5 to 10 years of consulting experience is preferred, preferably on groundwater contaminated sites with a variety of geologic conditions and a broad range of contaminants.
- An understanding of, and experience with, a variety of regulatory environments is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills are essential.

Senior Ecologist/Environmental Scientist
The Johnson Company is seeking a candidate with a graduate degree in environmental science with at least 6 to 8 years of professional experience with a focus on one or more of the following disciplines: biology; wetland and/or soil science; ecology and ecological risk assessment; and surface water. The candidate would serve as an ecologist and senior project manager for environmental projects that may involve environmental risk and site assessments; natural resource damage and restoration assessments; environmental permitting; and wetland/habitat evaluation and restoration. Experience with and the ability to successfully market energy sector clients desirable. The candidate must have experience with client interaction and presentations; regulatory involvement; and management of field programs, junior staff, subcontractors, and large and small project budgets. The ability and desire to perform various marketing initiatives is also preferred. Project locations may vary throughout New England, nationally and internationally; therefore, some travel should be expected. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. A minimum of three references are required for consideration.
